Mist Chambers In Kerala

Service Overview

Mist Chambers are well-enclosed areas which creates a perfect environment to produce seedlings, germination of seeds, grafting, and layering of plants. These are designed specifically, taking temperature, humidity and light parameters into consideration

In Mist Chamber, Relative humidity is maintained artificially at a high level with the help of mist installations, which spray water under pressure. Fog formation induces rooting and acclimatization. High relative humidity facilitates better root initiation and cooling effect prevents the cutting from drying out.

This method results in faster rooting of the cuttings, create an optimum microclimate for better root initiation and development and higher success rate in the propagation of hardwood cuttings. Temperature and humidity control in the mist chamber is effected through automated control systems.

Mist chambers are widely used to grow different types of vegetative plant organs as well as seeds. These are used for growing plants with their roots along with sterile nutrient solutions. They helps in minimizing the plant moisture loss and is also helpful for rooting leafy cuttings.
